Are You A Competitor Or…Spectator?

Competing isn’t easy, and that’s why only a certain breed can do it, more so the training while maintaining the discipline of it to effectively compete. That’s why there IS that disconnect from the spectator and the competitor.

The spectator lacks what the competitor displays, courage, discipline, and the essential character needed to withstand the grind of it all. Becoming very jealous and envious of them. While the spectator turns into a naysayer because while being consumed by their self doubly and sheer laziness the competitor overcomes that little voice doing work anyways every day.

The competitors strengths expose the spectators weakness.

The spectators are often the ones with their hands out in life anyway, ungrateful, reacting to life, blaming circumstances, filled with envy and jealously of others wondering when will THEY get lucky, lucky! lol, don’t get me started on that.

The spectators are often family, friends, and their significant other.

This IS reality. This IS the price to pay to dare and be great.

Others that spectate out of fear, RESENT that courage and strength.

Spectators often seethe inside.

They often wish for failure when they compete and are often the ones who fake being upset with the competitors defeat with the truth being they are happy they failed because they are down at the spectator’s level for a brief moment.

The spectators only see winning and losing while the seasoned competitor acknowledges only growth in both.

They WIN period, because they celebrate life daily by LIVING it. A winner will often tell you the crowing moment is indeed sweet but the journey up to that point being even sweeter.

The loser NEVER loses because they are forged, changed by their training, their journey, their knowing depths of themselves that would be impossible to have been discovered without the intense, relentless training, by partaking in life, jumping in it, living it, while not watching it all go by as the spectator does, with them wondering what the fuck happened along the way.

To those of you who grind daily, celebrate life, silence your inner voices of fear, to chase your dreams….

I salute you.
