A True Throw Back Fighter.

Andre Ward, now retired, must be look upon ada throw back fighter in the sense of how he welcomed THE BEST and THRIVED against that elite competition.

He has not lost a fight since he was 11 yrs young for a reason.

He knows how to utilize his awkward style and yes although extremely boring, it’s also extremely effective at neutralizing opponents strengths.

Andre just knows how to win.

Against the Best

A thinking, adjusting, and ring generalship master.

Canelo-Khan After Thoughts.

Khan

What a shot! Throw a low lazy jab and keep that left low and this is what happens. Canelo didn’t need to time him, he saw Khan’s pattern and waited for this opening.

You know, it’s not just that Khan gets knocked out. It’s how he’s knocked out, the way it looks and how his body reacts, particularly the Garcia KO.

Last night he was OUT, lying there, respect for Canelo for immediately kneeling down close to him, ( while fans we jeering him, and losers on FB posting mock memes of Khan) as it was equally startling the way he went down hard to the one who laid the hands, the concern from the sheer brutality of it, provoked Canelo’s sincere act of kindness/concern.

If I’m close to Amir, he has a farewell fight in England and that’s it, because, once he’s touched hard he falls hard and may never wake up again, if it happens again.
He made A LOT of money last night.

The end….

GGG vs Canelo will happen sooner than later. The time is right and the perfect set up fight for it was last night, Golden Boy knew Canelo would ice Khan, and Khan brought the name for that inevitable outcome.

The coals are now red hot as is the market value for this fight. Everyone involved WILL get paid VERY well far beyond than if this fight doesn’t happen.

I like Canelo but when he yelled something in Spanish that was then translated in English to “I’m Mexican, we don’t fuck around!” in regards to inviting GGG in the ring I can’t help but notice his fucking around with catch weights and demanding the middleweight kingpin to meet him and defend HIS legitimate world title at one.
Do you really think Salvador Sanchez, Chavez, Marquez, Morales, Barrera, would ever do such a cowardly act if they were in Canelo’s shoes???

Canelo Alvarez, the light heavyweight middleweight catch weight champion of the world.

One Of The Hardest Punchers Ever: Stanley Ketchel.

Photo: One of the hardest punchers that has thus lived. He lived a fast, hard, crazy fucked up life that wouldn't last long at all....

Former middleweight champion Stanley Ketchel. Beat Jack Sullivan for the middleweight title back in 1908.

Ketchel was fucking nuts. Left home at 12. Rode the rail ways hanging and surviving at hobo jungles and mining camps forging him further into the reckless lunatic he was.

He could get very few sparring partners and when he did, they would wrap them selves in catcher mitt stuffing.

He was viscous and icy with his ring mentality and presence.

He once shot his trainer for waking him up too soon. That mentality rose him up to heavyweight to fight yjr great former heavyweight champion Jack Johnson, dropping Johnson but then got iced as Johnson jumped up and knocked him senseless with an uppercut.

Ketchel's front teeth were buried in Johnson's glove.

Ketchel was murdered when he was 24yrs young by a jealous cow hand who accused Ketchel of sleeping with his wife.

Stanley truly lived by the sword and died by it.

Let Me Clear This Up.

floyd

Although I’m very vocal on Floyd Mayweather’s opponent selection I have never hated on his obvious world class skill.

I was once a BIG admirer of his. I fought at the 1996 National Golden Gloves and a lot the eventual Olympians also fought there and won the tournament.

Floyd being one and I watched him close. You could see then that he had it and would excellent at the next pro level.

This is bad pic (damn flash didn’t go off!) of when I met him at the 2003 National Golden Gloves in Las Vegas.

He was cool. I remember him being very good with his kids. Playing with them. I talked to him for a bit. Very personable. Granted this is before he blew up. This was around the time of the infamous Spadadora sparring session where Paul put it on a just getting back in the gym Floyd.

I remember asking Floyd about that and he was like Paul who?? Paul who??? Lol…

I met Mayweather Sr. There also and talked to him for 45 minutes discussing boxing training asking him questions.

I loved when Floyd was young and was fighting the best available and beating them.

You know. What champions are supposed to do.

Again, I have never hated on his skill. Just the selection of opponents.
