Weekend Wrap Up.
David did slay the Goliath last Saturday night via close but not disputed decsion. Nothing exciting here, just a lot of movement and pop shotting by Haye. He did what he had to do against Valuev. Valuev should have but didn'tr cut off the ring to get to David and this resulted in a boring as hell fight. Haye did rock Valuev pretty hard in the last round but that was all the real excitement there was.
I will say though that Haye does bring in much needed excitement to the heavyweight division. He he can beat his mandatory John Ruiz next, look for a mega fight with either Ademek ( which would be huge in Europe, or either Klitschko.
I think David will be fun to watch for as long as he lasts as heavyweight champion. He'll take risks with his power and we could actually start to enjoy heavyweight title fights again!

The Dawson-Johnson fight was also dull as hell. Chad fought a smart fight though, boring maybe, but pretty damn good. I guess we could call him the second coming of Michael Nunn.
With he Tarver and Johnson fights finally out of the way look for Chad to breathe new life in his career with more livelier challenges from younger contenders. Tarvis Cloud could be that contender or a unification fight with Pascal.
We’ll get a better outlook on Chad then.
